Chi-town

Since Chicago is only 3 hours away we decided to head down for the weekend!
We drove down on Friday and after we checked into our hotel we headed downtown and did the architectural river tour.
I don't know how much Mike enjoyed it but I think I enjoyed it enough for the both of us.
Then we started walking down magnificent mile.
After about 20 minutes of being to depressed that we are to broke to by anything we left and headed to Navy Pier.
For dinner we had Chicago deep dish Pizza then we went to the top of the John Hancock Building. Something I learned on this trip is that our children are definitely going to be scared of heights.
The next day we went we headed to the Buckingham Fountain, the bean and then we proceeded to go see Wrigley Field, the Bears stadium and the Bulls stadium.
I think I made up for making Mike go on the architectural river tour.

It was such a fun 24 hours and made me miss living in  big clean city aka London!
Can't wait till we head back!

Crazy. Stupid. Love.

I know I am a little late on this one. But we saw Crazy. Stupid. Love last night. Mike and I were laughing so hard at parts. The other audience go-ers may or may not have laughed at our laughs at one point. Anyways.. its cute.

ps. one day I will update on where we have been all summer long. Until then.

Dear California,

Oh how I miss you. Don't get me wrong. For the most part I am loving Michigan. Except for these little things. I have 15 mosquito bites, 4 on my face which makes for a pretty picture. And I have killed 20 so far in our house. That is the last time that I am leaving the balcony door open.... Good luck sleeping soundly tonight

P.S. the last one I killed, its nose was as big as in the picture.. but real. Ohhh how I will never get used to this.

Moving time

We are busy busy moving into our new place! Why is it that every time we move it seems to take longer to unpack? More to come soon!
