Snow Day!

Growing up in California, I never got to experience a snow day.
I always wanted too when I was young.
But instead just lived my life through the movie, Snow Day.
Well today I got my first snow day.
I seriously got so excited last night just waiting for the call.
And at 4:53 in the morning, I received a calling saying that school was officially closed for the day.
Now this is the first snow in Michigan and I was kind of laughing when Michigan is supposedly has these "rough winters" and then it snows once and they cancel school.
But let me tell you, it is not like Utah folks.
In a matter of hours we had a foot of snow.
And they do not plow their streets that fast like Utah does.
It made me grateful for a couple of things.
First four-wheel drive. I love you.
Second that we live off of a main road that was plowed earlier.
All in all though it was beautiful.
I woke up to children playing outside and so wished I was a kid so I could go play with them.
Instead I cleaned the entire house, did the laundry, finished putting up the Christmas decorations, worked out and did a little bit of organizing.
Snow Days, I love you.

Yes we are still alive.

Just busy and making no time to blog.
That is why I am so grateful for this break.
It was much needed.
On Thursday we cooked our first Thanksgiving dinner.
Needless to say it was adventure but we were both proud of our efforts.
Friday I worked early then we went went shopping at the outlets and walked around Ann Arbor.
Other than that we have been loving sleeping in, eating left overs and getting ready for Christmas.
Thanksgiving + Black Friday + Christmas Decorations = one of the best weekends of the year.
Here are some pictures from Thanksgiving.
